Interview with Basic Design at Thursday 21st of April 2016 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? ZL: Project is located in the Guilin natural landscape environment itself is already a source of design theme. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? ZL: The purpose is how to combine the local landscape culture. FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? ZL: No plans, only to continue to work hard. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? ZL: Our design cycle is generally 2-3 months. FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? ZL: This is based on the characteristics of the Apartments to recommend owners. FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? ZL: It is a real estate development sales center, designed to provide a comfortable place to sell Trading. FS: What made you design this particular type of work? ZL: The unique environment of Guilin Scenery is the theme of the whole design. FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? ZL: Maybe is he mainstream of the market is affecting us. FS: Who is the target customer for his design? ZL: Mainly for home buyers. FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts? ZL: This question has been answered at eighth points above. FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? ZL: The name is named by the customer itself. FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? ZL: Auto Cad and 3D Max, Photoshop. FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? ZL: The natural form of the Guilin Lijiang River landscape, abstract form the free curve, which is the main elements of the design. FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills? ZL: We are a team with a variety of professional and technical personnel to complete the project. FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design? ZL: Has answered in the ninth point. FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design? ZL: We are more familiar with the design of the sales center, as well as its own function and flow lines are also more understanding. FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? ZL: The most tedious and the most important thing is to control the coordination with the professional work. FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? ZL: Through the competition, we hope to understand the work of peers, but also can recognize their own shortcomings FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work? ZL: We has learnd how to deeply understand the needs with customers FS: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions? ZL: Design should be a happy thing, it needs time and perseverance.
