Interview with Viktor Bilak at Sunday 17th of April 2016 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? VB: The main aesthetic idea of the Mercedes-Benz Russia stand is the image of twisting road. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? VB: The main focus in designing of this progect was to organize the space of the stand to place all vehicles and define the comfortable trajectory for walking of visitors. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? VB: The creation of design concept of this stand took two months. FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? VB: This design project was created by inspiration becouse the image of twisting road desided artistic and technical tasks. FS: Who is the target customer for his design? VB: Mercedes-Benz Russia SAO Company is the customer for this design. FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design? VB: This project required detailed empirical research of the real space for placement of vehicles. FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? VB: The customer and visitors of Mercedes-Benz Russia stand highly appreciated this design and it convenience for work and presentation of vehicles.
