Interview with Delution Architect at Friday 10th of July 2015

FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
DA: Design inspiration came from demand klient who longed for an office that is unique and not boring, because klient company that moves in the field of advertising, demanding an atmosphere of the office that can stimulate creativity their employees, created from this forms the design and lighting are unique. Outside that although bbdo is a company global scale of worldwide with the central government in newyok, architect trying to presenting local identity of indonesia.

FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
DA: Creating space and experience the work that can stimulate creativity employees , besides that of every employee can meeting, making a sketch, write and work anywhere outside of the table of their work. Besides that strong character of these companies own based in indonesia must be shown.

FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
DA: If we wins this awards, we hope that can be our new access to international scale and obtain interior design project from whole world.

FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
DA: 1,5 months

FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
DA: Basically this idea emerged from the results of the discussion between our side with the klient us we tried to accommodate various desire klient us and trying to propose the concept of his application to klient us pass discussion continuous.For example, klient we longed for the presence of the identity of Indonesia we tried to propose the concept by using stamp batik on the recepsionist table

FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
DA: For us had played a role as an architect and interior designer, of course the work that we ended up coming with in each project distinctive and not they could go in the implementation of overall same.So that we certainly wish there were klient who likes with design but we want to apply against his project in a style that suitable to the character them as and have not kept a style of design bbdo has been full.

FS: What made you design this particular type of work?
DA: We always design based on character and behavior our klient, so that every project that we do always have a different results and not the same between one project with the other .This makes design we are not dull and always produce new ideas.

FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
DA: There is of course, we are to find any reference to the design of the whole world, is our inspiration of course, is different because we do not have, to a style of design that and that is that we live in a style of design.

FS: Who is the target customer for his design?
DA: The target of course very specific customer, where customer shall be in the form of the people or companies longed for a style of unique design and not only a functional elements aesthetically but it should remain on a building or interior. Customer most got us excited if it is they want something crazy and want to project they can represent who are they.

FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
DA: The design is there in 20 % share which have been used for other designers, but 80 % of them are our own innovation kretifitas with the research material standart on processed and arranged so as to produce a different.

FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
DA: Design is not having any special name as a term or something , because it is the concept has been used over a combination of many forms and the style of design so as not having one of typical character applied in repetition.

FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
DA: Certainly such autoCAD, computer software and sketchUP. Besides because we have its own construction firm it is easy for us to research and new material assortment of things.

FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
DA: The concept of lighting the light that is different in each ruangnnya , this is true of different experiences give each of us into space or area different.

FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
DA: All elements of design in this project is our design work , but specifically to design the staff of the table, we collaborated with product designers from Yogyakarta, such as MISC Indonesia.

FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
DA: Design this is not too much use of modern technology much used is just the hands of local expertise for making customade diverse product.

FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
DA: Research that we do is research that is not based on small data or theory invalid , simple research only in small mockup to the creation of real objects implemetasi be great.

FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
DA: Technical making a lamp that each of the space of research make the process mockuping quite complicated and took long enough, but the time construction given by klient only 2 months .

FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
DA: Because we feel it is good enough for known by the rest of the world.

FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
DA: Some things about the important field to direct the coordinates, it is the most important detail as many of the elaborate interior and the limited time job. With the coordinates the field, technical problems can be completed more quickly without making technical drawings new enough to need time.

FS: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions?
DA: No, i think that its.
