Interview with Edmundas Jankauskas at Saturday 14th of March 2015 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? EJ: The idea was to use beautiful natural colours of liqueur itself and add some interesting taste representing graphics. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? EJ: The main goal was to make bottle look fresher and stand out from the competition. FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design? EJ: I hope it to enter the market. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? EJ: Since the very first contact with a client it was about 4 months. FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? EJ: This project was my final project for bachelor's degree, yet at the same time it was work with a client. FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? EJ: I hope it will be produced. FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work? EJ: I had my project supervisor - lecturer: Gediminas LaĊĦas. FS: Who is the target customer for his design? EJ: Young - middle aged women which like to spend weekends with their friends. FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean? EJ: Since this design is for the product that exists I didn't change the name. FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project? EJ: Mostly Adobe programs. FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design? EJ: It's not very expensive to make, has character and is easy to spot on the shelf. FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept? EJ: Main challenge was to make it simple but easily understandable. FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition? EJ: This design was published on some world leading packaging design blogs. FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work? EJ: It was a big project with a big client, so it gave me a lot of knowledge.
