FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
PD: The idea was to design a quirky and fun product The inspiration for the design was a caterpillar.
FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
PD: The idea was to create a "fun-ctional" product—a statement piece of furniture that is fun yet highly functional.
FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
PD: The future plan is to sell the design internationally.
FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
PD: It took me about a week to complete the design. Research, development, and production took about 4-6 weeks.
FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
PD: After designing hundreds of products for various clients, I finally had the opportunity to choose my own brief and inspiration. I decided to embrace my natural style of creating quirky products.
FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
PD: I am open to all opportunities.
