FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design?
MM: Everything was inspired by wild elements and the nature. As well by the product features, creating sort of connection.

FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve?
MM: The focus was showing the product in a way that the image still simple but bring a lot the attention

FS: What are your future plans for this award winning design?
MM: Its spreading the word to the world

FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept?
MM: Was around 1 month.

FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration?
MM: I was trying to make somethng original that at the same time shows the features of the product. Like the grip and wild nature. It was a comissioned work.

FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself?
MM: The design is being used by the company in agreement with me.

FS: What made you design this particular type of work?
MM: I think that my background on the shoe market gave me all necessary to understand the client needs.

FS: Where there any other designs and/or designers that helped the influence the design of your work?
MM: I this case was only me, and Caique, that did the retouch. But the whole idea was from my side.

FS: Who is the target customer for his design?
MM: Are the guys that make tracking and outdoor sports. And that clients that just love this life style as well.

FS: What sets this design apart from other similar or resembling concepts?
MM: I think that is the simple idea, i never seen something with this same idea before. So at the first contact is a chock at the first view.

FS: How did you come up with the name for this design? What does it mean?
MM: Nothing particular, just the first thing that came to my head.

FS: Which design tools did you use when you were working on this project?
MM: Was 3ds Max, Vray and Photoshop.

FS: What is the most unique aspect of your design?
MM: The idea probably, by the use of the web element.

FS: Who did you collaborate with for this design? Did you work with people with technical / specialized skills?
MM: Was only me and Caique, that did the post production.

FS: What is the role of technology in this particular design?
MM: Just old school 3d polygon modelling, without any plugins or something like that.

FS: Is your design influenced by data or analytical research in any way? What kind of research did you conduct for making this design?
MM: No, was just my feeling and the aknowledge on how this market works.

FS: What are some of the challenges you faced during the design/realization of your concept?
MM: The most complex part was modelling the shoe itself, is something complex to do, and a lot time consuming.

FS: How did you decide to submit your design to an international design competition?
MM: Was a easy choice, i won the competition last year and it was very good in terms of recognition.

FS: What did you learn or how did you improve yourself during the designing of this work?
MM: At that moment was my most complex model to do, this helped me a lot in another projects that i did later.

FS: Any other things you would like to cover that have not been covered in these questions?
MM: All good! Everything was covered.

FS: Thank you for providing us with this opportunity to interview you.
