Supa Fama is a restaurant chain in Guangzhou, China. They serve typical western style cuisine with a focus on using farm fresh produce and quality meats. They aim to promote a healthy lifestyle by eating well. With this in mind, their visual identity features abundant greenery and natural materials, creating a garden-like atmosphere. At the most recent location, an historical theme is inserted into this verdant context, conceived as a steampunk version of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. It is designed to transport guests to another place and time, whilst remaining a cosy place to dine.

Shelley Mock
Through a series of big life decisions, Shelley has found herself living and working in Shanghai, for well over a decade now. After completing her Master's degree in Architecture in Australia (including a 2 year stint in Mexico on student exchange) she headed for the bright lights and noodles of Shanghai, looking for a new challenge. Through her work experience there, she was eventually led towards Interior Architecture, preferring to work within the more intimate connection people have with their immediate surroundings. She has since completed numerous projects, both built and unbuilt, ranging from residential, through commercial, to the experimental.

Supa Fama
Supa Fama opened its first restaurant in 2019 in downtown Guangzhou, China. Since then 2 additional locations have opened. The brand's vision is to promote a healthy, active and social lifestyle, and in doing so bring a sense of the rural environment into the heart of a densely populated urban area. Supa Fama advocates for using locally sourced, farm fresh produce for their salad based meals, and aims to educate people on the importance of using quality ingredients from a known source, at a time when food safety is a regular concern. Their visual identity is influenced by this focus on informative narration, drawing on imagery of farming and an imagined farmer's lifestyle to create engaging and immersive garden-scape interiors, that will invite guests to interact with the surrounding flora, and inspire conversation.
