Buhaus aims to bridge the needs of a small pet owl and the couple that saved it. The owl roams free in their small appartment, so a place where the bird can fly to, rest and feel safe was needed. Buhaus also serves as a decorative piece and is a stylized shape that gets inspiration from the occupant, and is specifically designed for it. With a burrow-like shape, and a grip bar, using materials used are non toxic and close to the natural tree burrow. Buhaus is a personality infused, custom made decorative bird house that caters to both the need for aesthetic values and practical considerations.

The couple that commissioned the work are private people and wish to remain anonymous. They are wonderful, artistically gifted people. They rescued a small owl and wanted it to be free in their small apartment, so it needed a burrow to call home. They commissioned me to create something and thus Buhaus was born.
