The brooch is designed to signify dew drops that represent truth, sincerity, peace and innocence. The most significant part of the design is the depiction of leaf encircling around a stem. All aspects were given special importance while designing this piece so that it stays true to nature.
Hailing from the ethnically diverse city of Karachi, Pakistan; Maria pursued a brief career in marketing after completing her masters degree in business. Her passion for arts and design drove her towards taking professional courses in sculpture & ceramics, jewellery design and painting. She has worked as a head jewellery designer at reputed brands in Pakistan. Her willingness to constantly look for ways to groom herself as a better designer led her to enrol at the prestigious Gemological Institute of America in New York in the year 2014. By maintaining a good academic record at the institute, she was awarded the Students Choice Award for best design. She later went on to pursue Masters in Applied Arts & Design from the Richemont Creative Academy in Milan in the year 2016, and was awarded an internship at the esteemed luxury watchmaking maison Vacheron Constantin in Geneva. Studying abroad has helped her gain specialized knowledge of the domain of jewellery design. Having educated from an international perspective has further strengthened her base in conceptualization as a designer. The extraordinary multi-cultural experience brings refinement in her work.
