DESIGN NAME: I Really Like Math
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Interactive Textbook
INSPIRATION: This project is an interactive math textbook for the digital native generation, which processes visual objects and information more quickly. It was designed based on this to provide learning experiences for mathematical concepts.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The education contents are designed for a good user experience. Students use various tools to experience and naturally learn mathematical principles. The concepts are expressed using infographics to enhance focus.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Students can insert film or attach magnets to the pages of the textbook, with page design in particular based on user experience design research. The page layout considers the line of sight of the user with colors and images used in a systematic way.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: This project was started in June 2018 and finished September 2019 in Seoul, Korea.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The cover of this interactive math textbook was designed to allow students to operate it. Unlike conventional textbooks, the product binding allows them to reconfigure learning materials for different curricula to allow them to conveniently store additional materials.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: An experiential math textbook was designed to enhance smart education curricula for the digital native generation. This project was designed using the results of this research that was based on user experience.
CHALLENGE: The key objective of the research was to balance fun and learning effects. Learning content and effectiveness needed to stay constant even while learning in an enjoyable manner, and as such a thorough image planning was required. Various design attempts and reviews were made to achieve a perfect harmony of contents and design.
