PRIMARY FUNCTION:
To get peanuts without touching themUniq

INSPIRATION:
On my trips and staying overnight in hotels. When I came to the bar always the same picture, glas and porcelaine bowls with peanuts and otherthings. One must know that after a study 30 % of men and 60 % of women don't wash their hands after having been to toilet

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
With this peanut dump you never can touch the nuts with your fingers you pour them into your hand and then you eat them. Side effect for the hotels they don't have to waste so many nuts .

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
This design fullfills the wish to serve peanuts and other nibblings in a clean way.

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project started in 2011. It was awarded in 2012 by teh DDC competition " Gute Gestaltung"

Stainless steel

I can't give any further explanations because all necassary things about this design are said.

CHALLENGE:
This point I can't answer, because the production and selling is made by Carl Mertens International in Solingen Germany.

I am in awe of the ingenuity displayed by Mario Taepper in their work titled "Erdnussschütte". It is a brilliant idea to make it possible to get peanuts without ever having to touch them! I am absolutely impressed by the ingenuity of this design! The concept of being able to pour peanuts into your hand without having to touch them is remarkable. I am so impressed by Mario Taepper's award-winning work, Erdnussschütte! This innovative design is an extremely clever solution to the common problem of having to touch peanuts while eating them.
