| DESIGN NAME: Transform PRIMARY FUNCTION: Book Shelf INSPIRATION: The Repetition of Hexagon in a Honeycomb Which Creates a Single Pattern Was the Inspiration. But Here, Unlike a Single Pattern ,boxes of Different Sizes Organize to Create Multiple Patterns. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Furniture Gives the Option to the User to Change It According to Their Need . It Is Either to Store Books of Various Sizes A5,a4,a3 Etc. Or to Store Vase and Other Decorative Items Which Can Be Used Along With the Book Shelf. The User Can Play With the Pattern of Boxes in the Shelf and Also With the Color Arrangement of It. . OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The User Can Take Out Individual Boxes and Change the Arrangement According to His Need. The Whole Point Is About Giving Several Options. He Can Either Remove All the Boxes and Store Huge Books and Magazines. He Can Also Place a Row of Boxes Above the Cover Box to Increase Storage. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The Design Process Consists of Multiple Sketches . Overlaying Ideas of One Form Over the Second Form to Get the Most Efficient Third One.Realization of Subtle Color Which Could Go With All the Moods of a Person. 3d Modeling and Renderings With 3ds Max. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: WIDTH 2100 mm x HEIGHT 850 mm x DEPTH 330 mm. The inclination are at 105 degrees and 75 degrees TAGS: Furniture, Transform, Compact, Multipurpose, Different, Sized, Books, Pattern, Variable RESEARCH ABSTRACT: I Was Looking Into a Single Design Which Can Can Be Transformed Into Several Number of Designs. The Transforming Patterns Can Be Through Color,shapes,size Etc. I Did a Research on Various Size of Books Available Globally and the Size of the Books Which Is More Preferred by the User . Also I Was Researching on the Inclination That a Book Requires to Stay Without Slipping Off . Research on the Angle of Books Placed Which Is Comfortable for User to Pick. CHALLENGE: The Hardest Part Was to Create as Many Patterns as Possible by Varying Size , Shape, Color Altogether in Equal Proportion . Here I Came Up With 20 Plus Pattern in Design by Varying Color and Size of Each Unit.also, I Made It Most Functionally Worth by Designing in a Way That It Can Accommodate Various Sizes of Books in It.
