RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The boats produced by the infusion process are much lighter, which generates a positive spiral of benefits. Being lighter the boat, engine need less power, consume less fuel, need less fuel tank, that is less weight in the boat, less material required for construction which means lower cost of construction. A sandwich construction with the infusion system have a higher thermal insulation, which requires an air conditioning system of lower power and less power produced by the generator. All this guarantees a process less harmful to the environment.
CHALLENGE: To reach the conclusion of this project were required four years of research, several trips to different countries to visit exhibitions, vendors and shipyards, and many hours of CAD designs to achieve a project of this level.
