| DESIGN NAME: Blink PRIMARY FUNCTION: Rack INSPIRATION: The modular units, which feel like they are coming out of the body, create a sense of naturalness and integrity in appearance. The product comes together with its plain form resembling a tree and its branches, and the feeling of warmth given by the wood material. While the product adapts to the places and needs in which it is placed, it also makes it feel special. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The product reaches the user as a set with all its parts and has customizable modular units that respond to different usage patterns. The user places dowel units and flat parts on the product according to their needs. With these units, the user can make changes to the product according to their expectations. Blink, both creates efficient storage space and invites the users to a fancy and modern environment. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The product offers freedom of movement and customizable original use for its user. Modular wooden dowel units and flat volumes offer solutions to users' storage and display needs. The simple form of the product can communicate with the environment in which it is positioned. The material and size of the product were decided by taking into account ergonomic criteria for users. The pricing policy has been made in accordance with the approach of design for everyone and the goal of accessible design. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project, whose production and design was carried out in Eskişehir, started in February 2020 and ended in September 2020. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Furniture Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Wood, a natural material, was chosen in the product design. Cleaning and maintenance are very practical. When the relation of the product with the space where it is placed aesthetically weakens, it can create different modular solutions for the user and their needs at the same time, as it offers the user more than one usage option on the same product. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The product has a packaging system that will take up little space with its modular structure. In this way, shipping can be achieved with low logistics costs. Product base 30cmx30cm Product body 6cmX180cm Flat volumes 25cmX30cm Pipes are designed to measure 1x8cm. Blink is disassembled and can be easily made ready for use without using any auxiliary materials (screwdriver, drill, etc.). Blink is designed with wooden material selections that do not harm human health. There are no sharp or cutting details on Blink.
