Interview with Musa Çelik at Wednesday 20th of April 2016 FS: What is the main principle, idea and inspiration behind your design? MÃ: The idea of designing a pot shaped box was derived from the product itself. Houseplant concept was ideally suited to flower scented tissues. FS: What has been your main focus in designing this work? Especially what did you want to achieve? MÃ: Seeds were added to papier-mache of the cover. Thus, the box can be buried in the ground and trees can be grown. Potiss was designed not only to be nature-friendly but also to be a part of nature. FS: How long did it take you to design this particular concept? MÃ: Online research was conducted for the project. A lot of examples related to tissue box packaging and different box designs were collected and examined. Latest trends in box design and marketing, good and bad design examples, shortcomings of the category were all noted. Thus, the design process was started with a detailed knowledge of the competitors and category. The design process finished in one month. FS: Why did you design this particular concept? Was this design commissioned or did you decide to pursuit an inspiration? MÃ: I decided to pursuit an inspiration. Potiss is an eco-friendly and unique paper tissue box. Potiss is also a stylish table accessory with its appealing look. FS: Is your design being produced or used by another company, or do you plan to sell or lease the production rights or do you intent to produce your work yourself? MÃ: Potiss is a concept project designed for my own design office. I plan to sell or lease the production rights.
